Everyone's Favorite! The Annual Detroit Ministry Weekend

The Midwest Capuchins are making final preparations for the annual Detroit Ministry Weekend. Year after year, this is one of the favorite vocation events for our inquirers and candidates. This year's dates are Friday, October 31,  through Sunday morning, November 2. Three popular Capuchin ministries are visited during this event. On Friday evening, Fr. Thirteen inquires and candidates traveled to Detroit October 25-27th to learn more about the Capuchin vocation. This is an important experience for people discerning a religious vocation. It's one of several parts of the discernment process. Other parts include getting to know your own desires, attractions, and feelings. God's call often comes through these parts of our lives as we reflect on our everyday and extraordinary experiences. Detroit Inquirer Weekend Highlights Capuchin Ministries

The Midwest Capuchins are sponsoring a Detroit Ministry Come-and-See for new Inquirers and seasoned Candidates October 25-27. The event begins with Evening Prayer before supper on Friday and ends with a brunch after Sunday Mass. Participants will get the chance to learn about the Father Solanus Casey Center, the historic and famous Capuchin Soup Kitchen (and all of its various ministries), and Capuchin Retreat north of the city.
