Three Invested in Capuchin Habit

Three men were invested in the Capuchin habit for the Midwest Capuchins on Sunday, July 22nd at the San Lorenzo Novitiate in Santa Ynez, California. Nick Blattner, Fred Cabras, and Jason Graves were joined by 21 other new novices from across North America and Guam. Michael Mascarenhas and Fadi Touma from the Toronto Province, who spend postulancy in Milwaukee, were also invested as Capuchins.No more needs to be said. Enjoy the pictures on our Picasa site.

A Parting Shot

The twenty novices from North America, Guam, and England will finish their novitiate in Santa Ynez CA on July 14.The class recently participated in its final retreat preparing for their first profession and took time to take one final group picture. Jerry Cornish, Jason Salisbury, and Robert Wotypka will return to our Midwest Province after a short vacation. They profess their fist vows in Milwaukee on July 28th.Jason and Robert will be attending Catholic Theological Union. Jerry will study at St. Xavier University. Both schools are in Chicago.

24 Prepare for Novitiate in Kansas

Twenty-four Capuchin postulants from Guam, Canada, and the United States gathered in Victoria, Kansas to begin final preparations for their novitiate. The two-month program focuses on building community-living skills in an atmosphere of faith. It helps the group's members come to know each other better, so they can more easily hit the road running when novitiate begins.
