Discovering Postulancy 2017

As we are rapidly approaching the New Year, we are also rapidly approaching the annual Discovering Postulancy event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Friars-in-formation spend roughly nine months taking classes in-house, learning about a variety of topics, including the history of...

Trusting God

My name is Zac Angel. I am from Clarkston, MI, a suburb of Detroit. I studied at Loyola University Chicago, the last two years in seminary for the Archdiocese of Chicago. The Postulancy class of 2016-2017 will begin this coming August, and applications for that class must be received by the end of April, where they will be considered by the Admissions Council at the end of May,...

All three celebrations focused on our Franciscan commitments, new and lasting. This summer, we are combining two of these traditional celebrations with an overnight in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to visit Capuchin ministries, the largest Franciscan presence in the city. Let's start with the dates and agenda. Thursday, July 17th: Participants gather at St. Conrad Friary, which is the home of the Midwest Capuchin Postulancy Program. We start with...
