Detroit Inquirer Weekend Highlights Capuchin Ministries

The Midwest Capuchins are sponsoring a Detroit Ministry Come-and-See for new Inquirers and seasoned Candidates October 25-27. The event begins with Evening Prayer before supper on Friday and ends with a brunch after Sunday Mass. Participants will get the chance to learn about the Father Solanus Casey Center, the historic and famous Capuchin Soup Kitchen (and all of its various ministries), and Capuchin Retreat north of the city. We will be hosted by the St. Bonaventure Capuchin Community with visitors from the other area Capuchin communities as well. This weekend exposes inquirers and candidates to one of the biggest centers of Capuchin ministry in the United States. It's a place full of history for the Midwest Capuchins. Arguably, no other Capuchin center has so much financial and volunteer help from the wider church and community than Capuchin Detroit. Typically, this weekend also  is the largest of the year's ministry come-and-sees. It already looks like we will have 12 signed up. We hope you can make it as well. To attend the weekend, an inquirer first needs to have a face-to-face interview with our Vocation Director, Fr. Bill Hugo. Contact him at 313-595-2182 or WilliamHugo1253@gmail.com
